JATINDER SINGH GHATAORA

Has worked in the public and private sectors, working his way up from a postal messenger to a bid coordinator, working on some very large contracts valued at hundreds of millions of pounds. He has worked in IT support. After 35 years of working he returned to fulltime education achieving a BA Hons first class degree, followed by a Masters in Illustration. Currently working as a field engineer for a resource company and producing artwork for commissions and comics.

Career highlights:

  • Working for ExxonMobile (Esso) as a problem and change coordinator, taking down their fuel card system network down twice across 16 countries utilizing support from 3 continents (For test purposes).
  • Coca-Cola Enterprise helpdesk, supporting their UK systems eventually going over to Brussels to train their Helpdesk.
  • Other companies that I have supported are, Birmingham City Council, Cadbury’s, ITNet, Hertfordshire County Council, PHS, Credit Lyonnaise Bank, Post Office, Parcel Force, Serco, Cerco and many local government, health, education and commercial enterprises.

  • Poppy flower paintings for The Forgotten Generations
  • Colouring book for The Dementia Pathfinders CIC
  • Run workshops for DISC (Dementia Charity) and Water Mill Primary School
  • Support the Wild about Comics initative at-Birmingham Nature Centre
