After leaving the Royal Air Force in 1986, he dedicated himself to education and sharing knowledge. He is a qualified and experienced Organisational Development Consultant with an unwavering passion for empowering individuals and driving positive change. With 30 years of providing accredited leadership, training, and development, he has honed his skills in diverse sectors across private, public, and third-sector organisations.

Milton’s journey has taken him from educational institutions at every level, both domestically and internationally, to coaching senior managers and young business start-ups, guiding them towards becoming progressive entrepreneurs and leaders.

In recognition of his dedication to communities, he was honoured with a Fellowship placement in Geneva by the esteemed United Nations Geneva HQ during the International Year of People of African Descent in 2011. This experience ignited a fire within him, leading him to establish ‘Kirklees Local TV, a grassroots digital TV station amplifying the voices of West Yorkshire’s diverse and marginalised communities. Through this platform, they foster civic engagement and promote social change. Adding to his expertise, milton completed his PhD in History and Philosophy in 2023. His ground-breaking doctoral thesis, titled “The Illegitimate Son of England: An Auto-ethnographic Study Navigating Race and Constructing Identity from the 1960s to Present,” and accompanying award-winning film Windrush the years After A Community Legacy on Film that delves deep into the complexities of race, identity, and the profound impact on society.

Milton states that he owes his deep-rooted commitment to equality and inclusion to the invaluable influence of his parents. Their teachings have shaped him into the humble yet confident advocate he is today.

It has been an honour to have met, and indeed a privilege to have interviewed Milton. His dedication to duty, passion to achieve, and the will and discipline to continue when the going gets tough is outstandingly creditable.
