Deanna takes us on a very exciting journey of her path of life to date, including her cultural beliefs, interests and travelling the world; the university of life as I call it. Her travels to places such as Robin Island, South Africa and Auschwitz concentration camp Poland are captivating to hear. It is extremely encouraging to meet and interview such a bright young mind as a part of the ethos of The Forgotten generations. The future is indeed bright with young people like Deanna at the helm of our education. I must congratulate her on her achievements and wish her the very best in her future endeavours.
Conclusion
This is an interview with a young lady with a lot of futuristic ideas and ambitions, including a passion for history from an African and Caribbean perspective. Her experience of travelling is commendable as it certainly helps to broaden her mind.
Editor’s Note
It’s great to see the younger generations taking such an interest in their heritage and culture, especially at a university level perspective. The older generations need more youngsters like Deanna to join the relay of life to carry the baton forward.
