Ben was very candid and open about his whole life from birth to date, including his military experiences as the first black officer in the Royal Tank Regiment. This is an an amazing story of the different turns that his journey of life took from a very young age, especially after the split of his family between UK and Ghana.

Ben, now a Psychotherapist, tells his amazing story as one of twin boys and two other brothers. The many years spent in various care homes due to the split of his parents’ relationship and the absence of his mother for periods of years at a time. He and his twin brother were eventually fostered after an advert was placed in the daily newspaper. He followed his dream of enlisting in the military by becoming an Army Officer in the Royal Tank Regiment. Ben also expressed the difficulties he faced being black and also having to hide his true sexuality as a military person during his service. This is an enthralling story and Ben should be applauded for being so open and honest about the journey of his life to date.
