Marie-Claire Kofi, Founder and CEO of Plasma of Hope Charity, eloquently shares her lifelong journey with Sickle Cell. ⁠

Plasma of Hope is a UK registered charity supporting individuals that are living with Sickle Cell Disease or other related illnesses. Plasma of Hope advocates for people living with Sickle Cell and Thalasseamia which are hereditary condition which can be quite debilitating if not managed correctly. As part of their advocacy efforts, Plasma of Hope has collaborated with Pfizer UK to raise awareness about sickle cell disease.

Marie-Claire is not afraid to share her personal story of living with sickle cell disease and has expressed her commitment to fully increasing awareness about the condition as much as possible. Living with sickle Cell disease is a never-ending journey starting from the womb up until the point of death. It is an extremely harsh reality but there are many people who have, and unfortunately experiencing regular Sickle Cell crises, where they are hospitalised countless times during their lifetime. They even live with the fear that the next crises might be their last as they may not survive it.
